RAK's Embellished Cloth Badges

Last year I posted a picture of my craft club -RAK of Chicago- Cloth badges.  We wear them at our meetings with the chance of winner a raffle prize.  Each member was given a basic cloth badge to embellish.  "They were to bling them up!"
Well I want you to see what some of the ladies have come up with.  As you can see we have some creative ladies in our Club!  I think they are spectacular!  Hey, we aren't finished.  Everyone hasn't done theirs yet and some of the ladies are talking about adding more stuff!!

I can't wait to see what they come up with.

Here are before and after pictures of some of the badges:

Keep up the good work ladies!

Thanks for stopping by and leave a comment if you like.

Design Team A Inspiration- Bugaboo image

Here is my DTcard made for http://avenue613.blogspot.com.
We were instructed to use Kraft paper in our project and to use a Bugaboo image.  I want to give credit to JoAnn Atterbury  http://jatterburycreations.blogspot.com for the idea of double-backing or double layering her images.  You've got to check out her blog.  She is one talent lady. Her cards are gorgeous. With her permission I decided to use that technique on one of my cards.  Doesn't look as good as hers but I like it.

Totally Embarrased

Hello followers, I have done the most embarrassing thing.  Some how I have added myself as a follower on my own blog.  I was trying to follow other peoples blogs and somehow added myself into my own blog.

HOW STUPID CAN I GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ACTUALLY, I have not reached that 50 Followers mark and I am totally embarrassed.

I  finally discovered how to remove myself as a follower (on my own blog).  So I have officially 49 followers that I love dearly.

Has anybody else out there in Blogland done something as embarrassing,   R/T their blog?

I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU LOVELY AND TALENTED PEOPLE THAT HELPED ME REACH MY 50 FOLLOWERS MARK.
WHEN I STARTED MY BLOG I SAID NO WAY WOULD THAT BE POSSIBLE!  "LOOK WHAT HAS HAPPENED!"
I'VE GOT TO THINK OF SOMETHING SPECIAL TO DO WHEN I REACH MY NEXT 50 FOLLOWERS.

I'M SURE SOME PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN OUT.

THIS IS ALL NEW TO ME AND I AM HAVING A BALL.  I NEVER KNEW I WOULD BE SO BUSY AND THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE INTERESTED IN LOOKING AT MY STUFF.
I'VE FOUND THAT CRAFTERS ARE A SPECIAL GROUP OF WARM  AND GIVING PEOPLE.

AGAIN THANK YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS YOU!

OLD BETSY

Good morning friends,

I'm a little depressed this morning because I had to give up old Betsy (my Red Jeep) this week.  I didn't realize it would affect me this much but I keep thinking about her.  (All my cars are female)
I remember the first day I got her.  I was so happy because I had always wanted a Jeep.  We put alot of miles on her.  We drove her from here to California,  from here to Florida several times,  to Tennesee, to Wisconsin and she never failed me.  She was just getting old and I couldn't afford to maintain 2 cars.  I now have a Murano.

Well I donated her to the Vietnam Veterans Car Donation program.  I felt they were a worthy cause and they would put her to the best use.  I know this might sound silly but I really loved that car and I didn't realize it until I gave it up.

1995 OLD BETSY
LOVE YOU GIRL!  No other car will ever replace you!

For those who took the time to read this and understand,  "I thank you!"

613 Avenue Create challenge blog

Good morning crafters,

It looks like a great start for our Design Team A over at 613 Avenue Create challenge blog.  Our challenge was to create a project using our sponsors image.  Bugaboo is our sponsor for the month.
LUV their images!  I chose Stella Pecker-Retirement image.  I wonder why???? LOL
Well since I have been retired, I've continued being busy.  The only difference is, is that I'm busy doing what I want and love........and that's CRAFTING!  This image exemplifies how I feel and possibly look, sometimes..........

Tell me what you think and thanks for stopping by.

Accordian File Folders

OH_OH, I think I just got hooked on something!  Check out this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/accordionfilefolder/

I just made this file folder and I love it.  Good way to utilize your paper scraps.  The papers I used came from 7Gypsies avignon 8x8" 2-sided paper variety pack.

So much fun to make.  Now what am I going to use it for.   LOL  Tell me what you think!
