MUG RUGS

Hi Lovely people,

Who knows what Mug Rugs are?  I didn't know until recently.  Was playing around on YouTube and discovered them.  They are actually small placemats, usually 6x10inch in size.   They are used to place your coffee or tea mugs on and maybe a cookie, biscuit or Cell phone .  I fell in love with them after making one for myself.  See below:

Isn't it cute?  So guess what I did?  You know I usually make Christmas gifts for my Sunday school class each year, so I decided these would be perfect as gifts.  So I made 20 of them!  Each different in some way.
I just love them!

What do you think?  Can't wait to hand them out.  I might add a packet of Cocoa mix or Instant coffee to give with them.

Anyway, thanks for taking a look and as always, I love comments.

A Special Gift

Hi everyone!

How are things going with you all?  I'm blessed.  No major illnesses or catastrophes in my immediate family that I know of, so I'm happy.  Oh, I forgot, there is a little setback in one of my son's life but with prayer I think things will work itself out.

Can you believe that Christmas is just around the corner(are we forgetting about Thanksgiving. I've already started making my Christmas cards.  I  can no longer send out store bought Christmas cards.  People expect handmade cards from me at all times.  Does anyone else have that dilemma?

Below is one of my first Christmas card that I will be sending out (I don't know to who yet). I thought this image from QKR-Special delivery was so appropriate for the sentiment.  Tell me what you think!

Design Paper is from My Minds Eye Christmas Pack

Halloween - Trick or Treat

Hi everyone,

I can't believe how fast this month has gone.  In a couple of days it will be Halloween and I have not bought one bag of candy yet!  I better hurry up because we had a large crowd of kids last year and I was not prepared.  I like to make cute little treat bags to put their candy in and add a spiritual, inspiring message for the little ones.  No complaints yet!  We should use every opportunity we have to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ (even on Halloween)!

Below is my creation using the Halloween CS Trick or Treat Digi image from Bugaboo.

Here are the materials I used:

Cricut cartridge- Tags, Bags Boxes and more.
Core'dinations Core Color Paper
Martha Stewart Vine Tree Punch
Studio G Epoxy brad
Studio G Rhinestones
Ribbon from my stash
Decorative ribbon-Marshalls quaze
Fiskars paper pleater

Love you all.  Come back again as often as you like and leave a comment!

Heart Project at 613 Avenue Create

Good morning all!  I am so glad I finished my card early because I was in the bed all day Sunday with a cold.  They say there is a bad bug going around and evidently I and my grandson caught it. (is that correct English?  Should it be me and my grandson? LOL) But it's not going to keep this old lady down for long.  I've got too much to do!  Our theme for this week at 613 Avenue Create was to include a heart in our project.  Check out what I did.  I think I'll give it to my husband for Valentines Day.

2014 Scraps of Colors Retreat

I have to comment on the wonderful time I had this weekend in Alpharetta Georgia.  I attended SOC 2014 Retreat.  I had a ball!  I must say, I think Crafters are a special breed of people.  I found Tiare (the hostess with the mostess) and the ladies that attended to be warm, friendly and very talented.  We all had one desire in mind and that was to have a great time crafting.  We had our Pink Pajama's on all day Saturday and even shopped in them.  We were very recognizable in the Hotel (Embassy Suites).  The food was superb!  The free gifts and prizes were wonderful.  There was plenty of time for laughter and dancing along with the late hours of crafting.  This was worth the time and expense!  Can't wait till the next one!

Below is the photo of my Name Badge and State Tag that we asked to make for the contest.  Didn't win, but that was okay because the winner was Corinne from Bermuda and it was well deserved!
