Create Your Own Challenge

Hello my Friendly crafters,

I hope everyone is getting ready for a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with family and friends.  The Lord is truly good.  My Grandson Aaron (13) and I plan to participate in the Turkey Day Chicago Run 2013.  I no longer run but I can still walk! LOL  It's only 5K(3 miles).  It starts early in the morning so I will have time to rest afterwards and then head on over to my Son's girlfriends house and enjoy a meal with our combined families.

I will have a good reason to eat what ever I want that day and not feel guilty!   It's also for a good cause.  We will be supplying the Greater Chicago Food Depository by bringing 2 can good items with us when we run.  I'm really looking forward to this.

Our challenge this week at 613 Avenue Create was to Create Your Own challenge by using this pattern :

This is what I came up with:

Rubber stamps:  Inkadinkado and Paper Inspiration
Cricut cartridge:  Wild Cards
Copic Markers
Metal Apron brad: from my stash

Thank you for taking the time out, to stop by!

The Last of Autumn

Okay fellow crafters,

I think this is one of my last Autumn cards because it sure feels like WINTER  here in Illinois!
I really do love the Autumn/Fall colors.  They are so rich and vibrant.

I made this Tri-Shutter card as inspiration, for our NO RUBBER STAMP THEME at Outlawz challenges.  You were only allowed to use a rubber stamp for the sentiment if you needed.

MATERIALS USED:

Papers:  Bazzill card stock for base
              DCWV The Fall Stack DP
Sentiment:  Hot Off The Press acrylic stamp
Quotation:  Tiny Tales
Sticker letters:  by Marjolaine mini mono self sticking letters
Flowers:  by Iamroses
Digital image: by I Brake For Stamps -Autumn gathering
Edge Punch by EK Success
Copic markers
Apple basket and Hen from button stash

Thank you all for stopping by.  Now lets get ready for Thanksgiving!

Winter is in the Air!

Hello crafting folks,

Well winter is in the air.  We got our first snow yesterday here in Illinois.  It wasn't very much but I  think we're going to have a long cold winter this time.   So that means Illinoisans stock up on your craft supplies (like I have to tell you that.....LOL) and get ready for more crafting time!

I made this inspirational Winter scene card for the Monday Greeting card challenge at Outlawz challenges.
