I decided to use wild animals as my creatures to showcase.
First I got a $1.00 composition book (I always keep these on hand)
After I covered my book, I then started making my embellishments. To keep the Safari theme, I chose Hemp twine to thread the edges of the added paper.
I then finished it off with the added embellishments you see in the photo.
Now let me go and see what other challenges I can enter this in. If you know of any, let me know.
Thanks for stopping by!
Very nice thanks for sharing the tutorial!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Edie, Followed you from the Outlawz blog. I see you are a 'former' quilter too! I have tons of fabric, and keep trying to think of ways to incorporate some of it into cardmaking! Love what you did with the composition book. I just do cards, not this fantastic work like you have here. I just saw that DCWV paper this afternoon, and wondered "What on earth would I use it for?". Well, you surely showed it to best use! Lovely project, & you did a great job with it. Someone is getting a super Christmas gift. tnx for sharing. I joined as a follower here, and hope you will come visit me as well when you have time. See you soon I hope.
ReplyDeleteEdie you did an excellent job on this journal. I hope to make some or all of my gifts this year also.
