Hello everyone,
Yesterday we celebrated our grandson, Aaron's 13th Birthday. Boy, the years have really gone by. I can remember the first time I saw him, it was LOVE at 1st site! I did not want him out of my site. Eventually we had the opportunity to get Guardianship of him . We've had our ups and downs but I have not regretted it.
He's had a birthday celebration every year of his life (we didn't when we were growing up). So this will be the final big BD celebrations until he's 16. We decided to rent out a Gym Room in the local Park District, for 3 hours. I made invitations (tutorial to follow) and he passed them out to all his basketball friends. Well they had a ball! I mean we had to stop them from playing in order to eat and then they went right back to playing. It tired me out by just looking at them.
I think this party was a success and he'll have fond memories.
Here are some pictures from the party and a tutorial on the BD invitations:
I used very thick black card stock and 12x12 Basketball card stock paper
I cut these shapes on my Cricut Expression using the Sports Mania cartridge.
I used Microsoft to print the party invitation info, then used Spellbinders circle Die to cut them into circles
Here is everything ready to be assembled,
The inside of the invitations
I used Recollections chipboard stickers to embellish the invitations
I made a total of 16
Aren't they adorable?
I used my We R Memory keepers Envelope maker to make the envelopes. If you don't have one ......you'd better get one! LUV IT!
Here is the Banner that I made

Gift candy bags for the boys
A few of the boys stopping a few minutes to eat. Aaron is the one standing.
Since he is a Miami Heats fan, we had cupcakes made with their colors and logo.
Here are some of them lined up for the "3 Point Shoot Out"
